The Kualama Foundation is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization devoted to preserving and uplifting the ancestral wisdom, living traditions, and vibrant cultural heritage of Indigenous communities—especially the tribes of the Sierra Nevada of Colombia, guardians of the Heart of the Earth. Kualama means “the filter between the spiritual and physical worlds,” and it is through this lens that we walk our path. Guided by the sacred principle that what we offer to the Earth, the Earth returns to us, we seek to restore balance and reciprocity between humanity and the natural world.
Our mission is not only one of preservation, but of awakening. By carrying forward the voices and wisdom of Indigenous elders, we invite a collective remembrance of our interconnectedness with all life. Through storytelling, cultural exchange, education, and ceremony, we help spark a global movement rooted in respect, responsibility, and reverence for the Earth. We build bridges between ancient traditions and the modern world, advancing environmental sustainability, cultural empowerment, and social equity through community-driven initiatives.
Our projects include land reclamation, the construction of sacred temples, educational programs, and the facilitation of spiritual offerings that reconcile humanity with the natural order. At this pivotal time of planetary change, The Kualama Foundation is committed to ensuring that these sacred traditions continue to flourish—for the benefit of all beings and for the generations to come. Together, we walk with the Earth in harmony, honoring the cycles of giving and receiving, and answering the call to restore balance to our shared home.
